Android Introduces Auracast: Hearing Aids Connect to Public Audio Like Never Before
Google has announced that Android will soon support Auracast, a Bluetooth technology enhancing connectivity for hearing aids. This feature allows compatible devices to receive direct audio streams from public broadcasts, making it easier to hear announcements in noisy environments. Initially, it will be available on Samsung Galaxy phones with One UI 7 and Google Pixel 9 running Android 16 beta. The update also includes QR code connectivity and new accessibility features for users with low vision. Android 16 is set to launch in June.
