In a significant leadership shift, Apple has appointed Mike Rockwell, current VP of the Vision Products Group, to oversee the Siri team. This change comes as CEO Tim Cook expresses dissatisfaction with the performance of Siri under John Giannandrea. Siri has faced criticism for failing to answer basic questions, leading Apple to rely on third-party AI integrations. Rockwell will report to software chief Craig Federighi, while Paul Meade will take over the Vision Products Group. The rollout of a more personalized Siri has also been delayed until next year.
