According to a report by The Information, Apple is incurring losses exceeding $1 billion annually on its streaming service, Apple TV+. This service is the only one in Apple's portfolio that remains unprofitable, despite significant investments in original content. Although Apple reduced its content spending from $5 billion to $4.5 billion in 2024, it still trails behind competitors like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video in subscriber numbers. Currently estimated at 45 million subscribers, Apple TV+ has garnered over 2,500 award nominations but struggles to gain market traction.
