A growing number of automakers are transitioning to Tesla's North American Charging Standard (NACS), following Ford's landmark deal in May 2023 that granted its EVs access to Tesla's Supercharger network. Brands including GM, Rivian, Honda, and Hyundai have since committed to adopting this standard, promising adapters for their customers. By early 2025, many EV owners will gain access to over 36,000 NACS ports across the U.S. and Canada. Despite some delays in adapter production, optimism rises as Tesla ramps up efforts to accommodate non-Tesla EVs.
