ChatGPT Enhances User Experience with New Memory Feature for Personalized Web Searches
OpenAI has introduced a new feature, 'Memory with Search,' for ChatGPT, allowing it to utilize memories from past conversations to enhance web searches. This feature will rewrite user prompts based on remembered information, improving query relevance. For instance, if a user is identified as vegan and located in San Francisco, ChatGPT can tailor search queries to reflect that knowledge. The update follows enhancements to ChatGPT's memory tool, aimed at differentiating it from competitors like Anthropic's Claude and Google's Gemini. Users can disable this feature through the settings menu.
