In response to the recent TikTok ban, Flipboard has launched its new app, Surf, featuring a custom video feed that aggregates content from Bluesky. The feed initially combines trending videos and posts tagged with #SkyTok, with plans for personalization based on user preferences. CEO Mike McCue highlighted the potential for custom feeds on decentralized social platforms, emphasizing Surf's capability to integrate videos from various networks, including YouTube and Mastodon. Currently in beta, the app aims to enhance user experience by tailoring feeds to individual interests.
