GitHub has announced new premium limits for its Copilot AI coding assistant, introducing charges for advanced AI model requests. Starting May 5, Copilot Pro users will receive 300 premium requests per month, while Business and Enterprise tiers will get 300 and 1,000, respectively. Additional requests can be purchased for $0.04 each. The changes reflect rising computing costs for more advanced models, such as Anthropic's 3.7 Sonnet. Despite these new fees, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella highlighted that Copilot significantly contributes to GitHub's revenue growth.
