Skylight, a startup co-founded by Tori White and Reed Hermeyer, has launched its mobile app as a TikTok alternative built on the AT Protocol. Backed by Mark Cuban, the app offers features like video editing, commenting, and sharing, while connecting users to Bluesky’s network of over 33.8 million. Inspired by concerns over potential TikTok bans, White documented the app's development on TikTok, gathering nearly 50,000 followers. Skylight allows video uploads of up to 3 minutes and plans to introduce more features, aiming to evolve beyond a simple clone.
