ProLogium Technology has launched what it claims to be the world's first silicon anode battery for electric vehicles, showcasing its fast-charging capabilities at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. This new battery boasts a volumetric energy density of 749 Wh/L and a gravimetric energy density of 321 Wh/kg, surpassing traditional lithium-ion batteries by up to 77 percent. ProLogium's battery can charge from 5 to 60 percent in just five minutes and reach 80 percent in 8.5 minutes. The company aims to redefine EV battery technology with reduced charging times and improved vehicle range.
