At CES 2025, Qualcomm introduced its Snapdragon X series chips aimed at mid-range Windows laptops and desktops. Built on a 4nm process, these processors promise multi-day battery life and enhanced performance. Despite some software compatibility challenges, Qualcomm is pushing forward to compete with AMD and Intel, having captured only 0.8% of the PC market as of Q3 2024. The Snapdragon X will power Microsoft’s upcoming Copilot+ PCs, featuring AI tools and priced around $600. Major brands like Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo are expected to adopt this new technology soon.
