Sensei Secures €15M to Expand Contactless Stores Across Europe
Portuguese startup Sensei has successfully raised €15 million in a Series A funding round led by BlueCrow Capital, with participation from other investors. The funding aims to boost its contactless store platform, which utilizes AI and computer vision for autonomous retail experiences. Sensei plans to establish 1,000 contactless points of sale by 2026, expanding its operations beyond Portugal to Spain, France, Italy, and Brazil. The CEO highlighted the growing demand for automated retail solutions as competitors like Amazon Go and Walmart also enter the market, intensifying competition.
