TikTok creator Kelley Heyer has filed a lawsuit against Roblox, claiming the platform used her dance for Charli XCX’s song 'Apple' without permission. The dance went viral after she posted it in June 2024, leading to Charli XCX featuring it in her live performances. While Fortnite secured Heyer's consent to use the choreography, Roblox allegedly failed to do so, resulting in an estimated $123,000 in sales from over 60,000 emotes sold. Roblox maintains its commitment to protecting creators' intellectual property rights.
