Vay Expands Driverless Car-Sharing Fleet in Las Vegas
Vay, a Berlin-based startup, is set to expand its driverless car-sharing service in Las Vegas, increasing its fleet to 100 Kia e-Niro vehicles. The service, which utilizes teleoperation technology, allows users to hail a car that arrives without a driver. Customers take control once inside and drive to their destination, after which a remote operator returns the vehicle. The expansion follows a successful year, with over 6,000 trips recorded. Vay also plans to extend into B2B operations and is hiring remote drivers to support this growth.
