This acquisition is part of IBM's ongoing investment strategy in AI technologies, aiming to deliver quicker and more effective solutions to clients. Hakkoda, co-founded by Erik Duffield in 2021, specializes in cloud data migration and has raised $5.6 million in venture capital.
