IBM has officially acquired Hakkoda, a New York-based data and AI consultancy, to bolster its consulting capabilities across various sectors, including finance and healthcare. This acquisition is part of IBM's ongoing investment strategy in AI technologies, aiming to deliver quicker and more effective solutions to clients. Hakkoda, co-founded by Erik Duffield in 2021, specializes in cloud data migration and has raised $5.6 million in venture capital. The deal will integrate Hakkoda's consultants into IBM’s consulting division, further enhancing its service offerings.
