Adobe Introduces Content Authenticity Tool to Safeguard Artists from AI Misuse
Adobe is set to launch a beta version of its Content Authenticity web app in early 2025, aimed at protecting digital artists from AI-driven content theft and misinformation. The app will allow creators to apply content credentials to their work using advanced techniques like digital fingerprinting and invisible watermarking. This initiative is designed to enhance trust and transparency online, especially as AI-generated content proliferates. Adobe is also releasing a Chrome extension to help users access content credentials across the web. The move aims to empower artists in controlling how their works are used and prevent unauthorized training of AI models.
