Tesla and Rivian Lead in EV Charging Reliability, Reports Consumer Reports
According to a new survey by Consumer Reports, Tesla and Rivian boast the most reliable EV charging networks in the U.S., with only 4% and 5% of drivers reporting issues, respectively. In contrast, Shell's Recharge network faced the most problems, with 48% of users experiencing difficulties. Other networks like EVgo and Blink also struggled, with issues reported 43% and 41% of the time. The survey highlights ongoing challenges with payment systems and charging station hardware across various networks. Tesla's decade-long investment in its Supercharger network has contributed to its success, while Rivian shows promise with its initial stations.
